Our church and families were helped immensely this week!  On Saturday, just prior to our revival, we enjoyed a “Fall Family Fun Time.” This was an activity to come together for fellowship and fun with our families and friends. We enjoyed a Chili Supper and desserts as well as a bonfire for roasting marshmallows / s’mores. Lots of fun games were enjoyed, from horse shoes to Big Ball Volleyball to basketball!  Games for the children were also included with a load of candy passed out at the end….probably their favorite part of this time! After the meal and activities, we joined together in the fellowship hall for a devotional and sneak peek from Pastor Brown on some truths from God’s Word that he would preach during our revival to help us in our homes. Sunday morning our revival services began with Pastor Brown preaching on Biblical principles we need to follow to have “Heaven in our Homes.”  Homes, marriages, individuals and families were changed and challenged!   Individuals, couples and families gathered at the altars at the invitation time each service.  We thank our Lord for helping our homes and us as individuals. We also thank Pastor Brown for following the Lord’s lead in preaching His Word to us in this area and making it so practical. The Lord used him greatly.  Mrs. Linda Brown was also a tremendous help and encouragement to our ladies, teaching them about the role given to them and the importance that their role is in making our homes what they should be. Every service from Sunday School to the final service on Wednesday night was very well attended with visitors each service. Thank you, Pastor and Mrs. Brown for your service to Him this week and being such a blessing to Calvary Baptist Church and each of us as individuals.  All glory goes to our Saviour for what He did in our hearts and homes this week!
